Welcome to the GW Carpet Tools web site. I am Gary Goodrich, an inventor. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. Professionally, I have spent 22 years designing/inventing hand tools and fixtures for assemblies and assembly processes. I am inventor or co-inventor on 11 patents in very diverse fields and industries, all in products. 3 patents for a semiconductor chip attach process, the design of a seam roller wheel, carpet stretcher gauge, 3 carpet iron patents, 2 laser optics patents, and a laser hand tool configuration patent. I do not install carpet but I do get down on my knees and work with the tools I design and produce to make your job easier.
